Transfer of
Technology
Recently,
EDB has join hands with international technology support and donor agencies in
the world to facilitate the transfer of technology to local engineering
companies. Investment Promotion Unit (IPU), Pakistan in cooperation with UNIDO
Investment and Technology Promotion Offices (ITPO), Italy and other ITPO’s
around the world ensured EDB their assistance for transfer of technology to
local engineering companies. An agreement has already been signed between
Government of Pakistan and Government of Italy for availability of soft credit
line of Euro 7.75 million for Pakistani SMEs.
IPU in
Pakistan is keen in promoting availability of a credit facility for the
technology transfer to Pakistani companies through an Italian soft credit line
of Euro 7.75 million to be disbursed through SME Bank. EDB would facilitate the
local companies seeking technology from around the world for promoting their
competitiveness.
